Staff Biography

The Rev. Clint Moore

Clint is excited to offer his priestly and pastoral ministry at Holy Nativity on Sunday while Rev. Aimee is on maternity leave.

Clint is a life-long Episcopalian and serves his call to the priesthood as the Clinical Ethicist and Director of the Center for Clinical Ethics at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and Advocate Lutheran General Children's Hospital. His work involves teaching physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff about ethical principles, communication, and resolving ethical dilemmas.

Clint works closely with patients, families, and their medical teams to set realistic medical goals and establish a plan of care to reach those goals. Much of Clint's time is spent working on the ethical issues of palliative and end-of-life care. He also speaks locally and nationally on these issues. Clint is a primary member of the Palliative Care Consultation Team and works closely with a palliative care physician and an advanced practice nurse in providing palliative care consultations for patients, families, and the clinical team. He assists in establishing palliative care plans of care across the life span with special emphasis on issues at the end of life for both adult and pediatric patients. Clint is a volunteer grief group facilitator for high school students with the Good Mourning Program sponsored by Rainbow Hospice. The group serves young persons who have suffered a significant loss such as a parent or sibling. He also serves as a storyteller for the annual Good Mourning Camp. Clint is a graduate of The University of the South with a BA in English Literature and received an MDiv from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary. He earned an MA in Healthcare Ethics and a PhD in Philosophy with a specialization in Bioethics from Loyola University Chicago. Clint is married to Jane and is the proud stepfather of Jennifer and Chris and the wildly excited grandfather of Eliza, Nola, and Benjamin. Clint's email is clintmooreiii@gmail.com
