Kathie Tepavchevich
What Deacon Kathie loves best about Holy Nativity is the incredibly loving hospitality, the community’s appreciation for diversity, and the community’s Spirit filled journey discovering, embracing, and celebrating God’s love, God’s Word, and God’s truth as revealed in Christ, our Lord. Currently Deacon Kathie coordinates Holy Nativity’s participation in local Crop Walks, facilitates Home Communion Ministry, and facilitates Pastoral Care Visitations.
Kathie was ordained a Deacon in 1997 in the Diocese of Chicago. Her ministry development and training has included: the Deacons’ School of Formation and Ministry, Diocese of Chicago; Clinical Pastoral Care, McNeal Hospital, Berwyn, IL; St. Thomas Hospice, Burr Ridge, IL; Stephens Ministry, St. Paul’s, Riverside, IL; Congregational Mental Health Awareness and Ministry, Good Samaritan Hospital.
Kathie enjoys studying, meditating with and contemplating the scriptures; gardening; traveling; spending time with family and friends; and music. She is married to Tom and they have four adult children; Trisha, Thomas, Richard, Andrew, and one grandchild, Tommy.
