U2Charist
In the spring, Holy Nativity rattles and hums with the tunes of U2. This traditional Eucharist service uses the music of U2 for hymnody and service music. Why would we do this? To raise awareness and fund for the Millennium Development Goals. The U2Charist has benefited Episcopal Relief and Development and Opportunity International in the past. The rock band, U2 – and especially their lead singer, Bono – are loud and proud voices in the movement to make poverty history and they allow us to use their music to benefit the MDGs. We welcome the U2 tribute band, Elevation, to lead us in music.
