Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care Visitors
Pastoral Care Visitors are both lay and ordained people who provide a supportive, caring ministry of Christian love. We visit our homebound and partially homebound parishioners who want to stay connected to the community of faith. We are available to be with parishioners on occasions of joy and thanksgiving as well as times of need (sadness, sorrow, illness) offering compassionate support and a caring presence. We organize and provide transportation (church services and events, shopping, medical appointments). We work closely with the Lay Eucharistic Ministers and the Gabriel Ministry so that people receive the care they need. For more information about this ministry, please contact Deacon Kathie Tepavchevich. †Gabriel Ministry
Gabriel Ministry provides meals to families in our church in situations of illness, crisis, emergency, or joy (such as the birth of a baby). Gabriel Ministry invites anyone who would like to be a part of this caring ministry to bring a lunch or dinner to people in our church when circumstances call for meals. These are usually short-term commitments that require only a few people for each emergency. If you would like to know more about this ministry, please contact Mary Arnold or Norma Hagstrom. †Prayer Requests
Each Sunday when the community of faith gathers for worship, we pray for people in any need or trouble. People within this community continue holding these people in prayer throughout the week. If you have a person you would like Holy Nativity to pray for, please contact Bettie Buday at the church office. We can include the person by first and last name, or by first name only to protect the person’s privacy.† Please call the church office (630-323-6820) for individual ministry contact information.
