Due to the health risk associated with COVID-19, beginning Sunday, (March 15) all in-person worship, meetings and events have been suspended in the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago (including CHN) until further notice.
This is a difficult time for everyone. Tensions, anxiety, fear, worry, and uncertainty are ubiquitous and it can be difficult to catch one's breath among the many "varied changes and chances" of this time. Remember that God's love for you is absolute, unconditional, and never-ending. Remember that God's love was most fully expressed in the person and work of Jesus Christ our Savior, His saving love and sacrifice for the world, by a God who suffered and struggled just as we have and will in human form. And remember that we have an advocate, the Holy Spirit, who is with us and guides at all times and in all places, drawing each of us closer to God and each other.
God loves you. I love you. We love because he first loved us.
In Christ (and with washed hands),
The Rev. Bradley A. Linboom
Rector, Church of the Holy Nativity, Clarendon Hills
